Mr. Mark Yassin joined National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) in May 2008 as Senior General Manager of Corporate & Investment Banking Division (CIBD).

Prior to joining NBAD, Mr. Yassin held senior executive positions at several international banks, consulting firms and regional banks. His career spans more than 22 years working in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Canada and the U.S.; where he predominantly worked in corporate finance, global project and structured finance, financial and strategic advisory, infrastructure debt advisory, debt underwriting and syndications, trade finance, private equity and corporate banking. Mr. Yassin has extensive industrial experience in oil, gas, and petrochemicals; power and water; and telecoms as well as aircraft and ship financing.

At NBAD, Mr. Yassin manages the newly integrated CIBD comprising Corporate Banking Group, Investment Banking Group, Wholesale Banking Group, Abu Dhabi National Properties, Abu Dhabi National Leasing as well as the newly created Private Equity department.

During his career, Mr Yassin has contributed and written several articles in various publications including Euromoney, Project Finance International, Middle East Economic Digest and Emerging Markets Investors.

Mr. Yassin holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University (SMU), Dallas, Texas, and a Master’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Surrey in the U.K.
